Vidoll streaming events

So. It's just a few more days until the end of vidoll.
And they updated their page not only with information on the exclusive goods being sold there, but also with two streaming events, a last telephone interview and... their kaisan live itself!

So, yes, that means even those who can't go to japan can attend their last concert.

But first about the goods:

Taiwan

Vidoll did concider postponing or even canceling the live in taiwan due to japans current situation.

Instead they decided to donate a part of the earnings to charity and will also collect donations from fans in the livehouse~

Rame has updated his ameba as well now.
Because he was still in osaka with everyone from kisakis birthday celebration he was not affected.
Ayano, who is already back home has since posted on his blog, too.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected and we pray that a GAU can still be stopped.

Also,
I canceled my travel to japan this spring and I won't be seeing vidolls last live. I think the other authors of this blog are doing the same.
And to everyone following this, if you plan to go there to see it... your health is much more important than any band.
Please consider this.

Earthquake

just in case anyone's wondering or worried about the members of vidoll...
they are all fine!

jui was being pretty active in spreading news and information about emergency measures
(btw his family, who lives in sendai (near the epicenter), seems to be fine as well)
shun updated his blog saying he fell asleep again after few things fell from his shelves (-__-) /dumbass..
giru wrote in amepigg and tero at his mixi blog

it's just rame who didn't give any lifesign yet.. ;;;
but i'm sure, he's fine as well.

Photo Album

hey there

maybe it's for money, maybe because they feel bad for leaving us the way they do.. haha
however, vidoll will release a photoalbum at the end of march. i guess it'll be something like an artbook or a photo-collection, not a magazine special, as i remember some people talking about it that way.
(maybe like "back of ai lids" ... though that one was not that pretty...)

they had their photoshooting already and everybody (except giru) wrote about it in their blogs.
rame also talked about his outfit as being again more like the old ones, yaaay

not sure, what to think about it, but anyways...

Tero made an appearance as DJ during today's Club Event called Viju☆Love☆Night vol 5 in SECO club in Shibuya.
Because the event closes at 23.00.. it's almost over already, sorry.


But it's still interesting to see him do something like that, ne?

Rame will be featured in cure's internet tv program along with his old friend Kisaki.

I enabled the comments for this entry, because I want to ask the readers (I know we actually have a few out there haha) about their interest in an idea I had recently.
Over the years I've collected a lot of vidoll stuff and especially the old things are pretty rare, most of the videos and photosets haven't been shared elsewhere.

And I didn't share them because I strongly believe in getting originals and supporting the artist. I can't accept poeple who don't do it.


Still when Vidoll have disbanded I thought I could start sharing my collection bit by bit. Like uploading a photoset, some fanclub mag pages or a video every week, something like that. The band can't be harmed by that. Just gain poeple who remember the great times when they were around.
Are you interested in that?
Because my stuff is so precious to me, I'd only do it if there was really a strong interest of fans wanting to cherish vidoll after their disbandment.

since i got asked about the last entry, what's all about that "ayano" stuff... i decided to dedicate one whole entry to him xD

yeah! it's the AYANO, we all know (or at least should know), who played guitar in 1st period vidoll.
this guy:

he kinda showed up last year again and now plays in session bands sometimes.
at 14th of january this year he ended up performing together with rame at meguro rokumeikan and it seems like around that time they kinda got to see each other the first time after like 5 years or so and spoke out on some things and stuff...

however, doesn't seem like it went that bad, since they both wrote it was fun and now they perform together again!

and because it's going to be quite awesome, i need to write it down.

i used to like juka/shaura a lot, same goes for reika (<- a looong time ago)

it simply just can not be NOT AWESOME!

[最大公約愛] - saidai kouyaku ai

Here is the music video of Jui's first single  [最大公約愛] which means"maximum commitment love" in English. The Album release will be on April 20th, 2011.



I do not really like it...plus, I think that Jui's voice changed a lot. Yes, of course, it's still him but for some reasons I think that his voice sounds unnaturally high pitched and edited/mechanical. And it is weird without Rame's bass lines imho :\

at first i didn't want to translate it because i didn't want to read it twice. well, one can easily tell that i'm a big vidoll fan myself so all this stuff recently doesn't really leave me cold either.

however, here we go...

Break-up


so it was announced.
accepting such things is really hard and painful, isn't it?
like all of you, i'm still thinking "there has to be some mistake and i just want it to be a lie"...
but it doesn't change the facts...


you really doubt the humanity of the people who announce such things [the disbanding] before they have even been  announced on the official homepage, right?


what's the reason for giving such important news [as of the disbanding] to the media before announcing it on the OHP?
i thought it wouldn't matter to get lost in details about profit and loss that far.
but it was something people were thinking about quite well.
 

from now on, i want everybody to give their best to not be lulled by empty promises and persuasions and not to fall for impostures. no matter what happens and whatever situation one is in, the most important thing is ONESELF. and i think the reason why it ended in this result this time is because there was a problem with me/us.


to our fans, there is really no excuse.


but there is also no excuse for letting you support a vidoll that continues to go on with such doubts and concerns.
although we could not have been a band that could get you to hear us, see us and have fun by our power and self-confidence, we kept telling you to follow and support us. this was a mistake, too.


this band exsisted for 9 years.
we also received your support for 9 years.


i can't go on living this long life with these lies ahead of me prentending the past 9 years have not happened.


we are all like that. no matter what we do from now on, this is nothing that just disappears.


i can't sum up all the different situations and feelings everyone of us has right now.




someday, the day, when we can be vidoll again, will come for sure.

Tero's Statement

but what is going on with the other members? At the moment, everybody desperately wants to hear their voices, their opinions, their feelings. i guess all fans feel the same right now.

The ameba blogs are silent and there are also only very few informations on twitter. However, one of them is from tero saying that he had written a comment over at his FC blog.
usually i'm not very committed  to sharing "FC only" information but it's something different this time, something special, and i think it concerns everybody who loves vidoll whether they pay money for the FC or not.
and i can't stand all this jui-bashing that has been brought up today.... shut the fuck up, seriously!
it's a decision ALL OF VIDOLL made. not just jui!

here comes a rough translation of TERO'S BLOG:

i'm sorry for the sudden news.
on may 7th vidoll will disband at shinkiba coast.
we came this far because we were supported by many fans, the staff, band friends, our office, by friends and family.
thank you very much.
to be honest, the 9 years with vidoll were more troublesome than fun but they were experiences.
also, the world of music business is becoming severe these days.
"many bands disband or stop activities" - you hear these kind of words very often recently.
but..
that's only because these times are marked by big economic recessions and some bands lack the ability and the luck to endure them.
Of course it's not only us, but everybody, facing difficult and hard circumstances and a tough daily life.


About 2 years ago, it started to happen inside vidoll that everyone of us headed towards different directions and the things we wanted to do as a group became diffuse and i think in the end it also made our fans feel helpless and confused.
I personally wanted to go on a Japan tour in the end and I also wanted to see our fans abroad and it's very sad that these wishes could not have been fulfilled.
So i made the decision that i wanted to leave the band  in september of last year.
Until recently we had a lot of discussions with the office and the band members about the band.
I always worried about the fact whether it was really good for me to go on with this band, including all the office stuff and such.
Music means having fun with music.... and as i realized it, the fun had already vanished.
Furthermore, at some point the people around me didn't see me as a drummer anymore and these were psychically and physically hard times for me.
I think the notions "i want to have fun" and "i need to have fun" are totally different and sometimes i couldn't even concentrate on playing the drums or the piano. i lost the idea of "having nothing else than lots of fun with being in a band".  At some other point, i suffered from being unable to understand things such as "what is it that i want to do? and what is a band?"
But with all the people i met, the words of our fans and the support of my friends, the people i was able to share something with... i felt like i had to give my best.
In the long run, it ended up in the disbanding but the other members have their own reasons. i think everybody is going to go on with their own activities but i can't say anything about the plans of the other members.
i think it was just a question of time because sooner or later it would have led to the same result.
Thus, i want everybody to give their best from now on as well.
that i was able to be with the 5 of vidoll is like the second page of my youth.
maybe i will challenge new music, do support [drums] or even form a new band of whatever kind. although Vidoll has ended now i want to come back to the stage!
because after all: i love music.
"an end" is "a beginning", "losing something" is "gaining something".
after that we'll just see.

DISBANDING

now it's for sure.
vidoll will disband, their last live will be held on 7th may (thanks, one day earlier than my birthday -_-)

according to KISAKI it has been decided for a while now, but now made officially.
there will be an official broadcast over at NICONICOTV at 22pm local time (less than 4 hours from now)
where jui will announce and explain the decision for disbanding

according to BARKS NEWS (which are spreading through japanese media pretty fast..) jui will go on with a solo project. his first solo album is said to be published on april 20th.

well. the members themselves kept quiet for now.

Trouble?

Hey guys!

I've been wanting to update for some days already, but I couldn't find free time to do so. I'm sorry!
Maybe rumours got to get through to some people. I don't know whether blogs are still being translated or not.

However, seems like lately there's a strange atmosphere around Vidoll. Well maybe it's not "strange", but something that naturally happens, when bands stop activities. To kinda drift apart?
Additionally there seemed to have been complaints about Jui being the only one to attend the instore event. And apparently it's not only the fans, who are disturbed by that fact, but the members, too?
There are feelings of uncertainness among japanese fans and the seem to wonder, how it will go on with Vidoll. And if it will go on at all.

Shun seems to be pretty engaged with his own business now, doesn't he?

Well, well. We'll see how things turn out!
However, at the moment my sympathies especially go to Rame and Jui. Hang in there, guys!

Happy new year to everybody out there!!

Sorry for being so dead for a long time. Things have been quite tough and I was busy with life.
However, many things happened around Vidoll, as Saku already wrote in her previous post :) I won't add anything to that. Most of you followed their activities anyways, didn't you? I'll come to the more recent news.

As you all know, they had 2 christmas lives on 25th and 26th of December, which were limited to the fanclub. Jui didn't participate, but nonetheless the lives are told to have been really great!!! Me too, I'd loved to join them, listen to Giru singing multiple songs (like Waisetsu & Aimai, etc.) (^o^) Of course Rame, too!!! I love his singing, because it's ... unique. Hahahaha. Him singing Kamiuta is no surprise, is it?
(However I'm glad I didn't have to hear Shun sing... hahahhaha. Must have been shocking.)

Well, everbody safely arrived at 2011!! Together with some really nice "happy new year" messages (Giru is so crazy, boy!). Next important date would be the 19th of january, because yeah, it's time for their BEST Album.
Everybody keep looking forward to the new song!
